Dr. Uwe Kreis who is the Director of Research and Development, became interested in aromatherapy while studying Chemistry at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. He began to experiment with it and found that essential oils assisted him in learning, concentration and relaxation. When the distillation and analysis of essential oils became part of his chemical education, Dr. Kreis' appreciation and understanding of essential oils reached new levels. Upon receiving his Ph.D. in Chemistry, he continued to do chemical research at Universities in Germany and Canada and is currently a faculty member of the Department of chemistry at Simon Fraser University teaching organic chemistry.

In 1994 he co-founded , along with his wife, The Robinson Group Training and Consulting Corp. with AromaSignatures as its product division. The company's focus is on improving peoples lives through giving them tools and skills to lead healthier, happier and more balanced lives by improving the way their minds work and the way they work with their minds. The Robinson Group offers coaching and training in personal and professional development teaching people skills to get peak performance, relieve stress and create a balanced healthy life. AromaSignatures essential oil blends were developed to support this process and the aromatherapy products are incorporated on all levels with students and clients to facilitate learning, increase retention, and lead to consistent improvements in performance. It was a natural progression based on Dr. Kreis' research background in organic and bio-organic chemistry as well as Lynn Robinson's expertise in learning and performance and her understanding of how the mind works.

AromaSignatures aromatherapy products now include health care, fitness line, bath and body care, perfumes, skin care, personal care for women, pregnancy line, baby and child care, home and office scents, a Feng Shui line, spa products as well as a unique combination of pocket essential oil blends with guided imagery audio cd's. Customized blends and labeling are also available. Essential Oil blends relax, rejuvenate and repair on the physical level, uplift and soothe on the emotional level and balance and stimulate on the mental level.

A synergistic effect takes place when blending the oils. By using a blend rather than a mixture of only two or three Essential Oils it allows the addition of very powerful oils in low concentrations, boosting the properties of each oil. AromaSignatures is based on this synergistic principle.
